About Us
Are you searching for a new weed sprayer? Are you discontent with the same-old variety of spray pumps available at Home Depot?
I too, have felt your pain. That’s why I’ve created this website: to help show the variety of weed sprayers on the market and help you find a good one for your application.
Everyone has different needs, and so I’ll try to be objective in my reviews. For some people, a simple hand-pump is suitable and gets the job done. For others, like me, I wanted a weed sprayer that hooked up to a battery so that I could cover my entire yard faster.
Still, others have acres of land they need to cover and need to mount the weed sprayer tank to the back of a 4-wheeler.
About Chris
I live in Scottsdale, AZ with my wife and our two young children. We have a mostly-gravel yard and every spring weeds grow because of the winter and spring rains. It’s unbelievable how many weeds will grow in just a few months.
One day, I said: no more. I called up a weed company and they told me it would be about $350 to have my yard treated with pre-emergent. At this point, I started to research weed prevention and spray equipment. I settled on a 25 gallon tank with spray nozzles and a battery.
Now, I can treat my entire 1/3 acre lot in just under an hour and my only cost is the chemicals. For pre-emergent I use this product, and for post-emergent I fill my tank with Round Up which I’ve found generally does take care of the weeds. Although, there aren’t many of them if I’ve done a good job with the pre-emergent.
In Arizona, there are generally two times to spray each year: September and February. You can some times skip the fall treatment without any consequences, but I’ve seen weeds began popping out of the ground as early as January. If I see any weeds, I’ll usually spray my entire yard right away—even in January.
So, whether you’re looking for a small hand-held weed sprayer, or a bigger unit with connections for your 4-wheeler, I hope my site can be a helpful guide in making your purchase.
